VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Discovery Care Centre has many exciting opportunities for volunteers. We value our volunteers as key members of the Discovery Activity Team. Families of our residents, retired seniors, students, and the public of all ages donate their time to provide those "extras" that so greatly enhance the lives of our seniors. We know that your time is precious and we truly appreciate your willingness to spend some of it with our residents.

How you volunteer comes in many different flavors. We have many diverse and unique opportunities to offer all volunteer candidates that can require one hour-a-month to something every week. Here are some ways our volunteers offer their time:

• Reading to residents

• Visiting with residents

• Sharing talents such as music, storytelling, and various types of performances

• Helping with program activities such as parties and special events

• Playing games with groups or individuals
