Discovery Care Centre provides care for all levels of need. The "Forget-Me-Not" unit is for Memory Care Assisted Living. It is specially designed and operated to meet the needs of people with Alzheimer's disease or other dementias or memory problems. Our priority is to be always ready to meet the needs of memory-impaired individuals when their needs are greater than their loved ones can provide.

Recreation, meals and personal care are provided within the Forget-Me-Not unit. This "wander-safe" area is secure and alarmed to promote safety. Staff members trained in care for memory-impaired people stay within the unit to provide support and maintain an atmosphere of comfort and security.

We are advocates for wellness and promote the enjoyment of life at the optimum level of independence. We recognize that each person is unique and we strive to meet their needs based on best practice in dementia care. Forget-Me-Not enjoys a healthy level of activity while providing the day-to-day support available to all Assisted Living residents.

This dedicated wing for memory-impaired people has rooms for ten residents. We can accommodate short-stays of 1-30 days as well as long-term care. Please contact Discovery Care Centre for more information regarding eligibility for admission and availability of rooms. Long-term care insurance may cover this service, but is typically not covered by Medicare/Medicaid.
