Respite Care is designed for families and caregivers who need a break. Caring for a senior family member is demanding and can be exhausting. Respite Care at
Discovery Care Centre provides a safe and supportive environment, in a fully furnished room with all meals and services including medication management, activities and personal care as needed.
Day Care is for one day or less, charged at an hourly
rate with a minimum per visit rate.
Respite Care is for days or weeks or months, and is
charged at the standard Assisted Living rate.
- In order to stay for Day Care or Respite Care, a patient must be able to provide:
- Physician’s okay for admission
- Physician’s list of medications and reasons they are being taken
- Tuberculosis certification
- Advance Directive for emergency care
After the first stay we only require updates to the above paperwork.
